“Work is something that you do,
not somewhere that you go.”
You might think of Yorkshire Housing as ‘just’ a housing provider but we’re so much more than that. We’re all about making a positive difference in people’s lives, whether that’s helping people get on the property ladder, supporting with money coaching or enabling our older customers to continue to live independently. And to do that, we need to recruit and keep the very best people.
We are passionate about being inclusive and are recognised as a disability confident employer, we’ve also achieved the Investors in People Gold accreditation. On top of that, we’ve won a few awards along the way too! We’re really proud of what we achieve for our customers every day and that success is down to the hard work and efforts of our people.
It’s not all about work though, we want you to have fun with it too – you spend your best waking hours at work, after all. And talking of hours, we’ve left the days of 9-5 behind and give our people options in where, when and how they work within the scope of their role.
Does this sound like something you’d like to be part of? Take a look at our current opportunities below.

Values
At Yorkshire Housing we’ve got a strong set of values and a culture where people can learn, thrive and enjoy their work. We believe that our values help us to achieve our goals for our customers. They also make it clear what people should expect from us and what we expect from each other.
At the core of our culture is our shared belief in making a positive difference to people’s lives. Take a look at our values below to find out more:

How we recruit
It’s the people that make Yorkshire Housing a great place to work, so we put a big focus on matching your values to the role, not just your skills and experience. You’ll usually submit a CV or application form as a first step and then if you get shortlisted, we’ll look at the best method of selection for the position you’re applying for. Your interview could also involve a presentation, technical test or another activity appropriate for the role.
The coronavirus pandemic means that we’re conducting a lot of recruitment remotely so you might be invited to meet us online during the process. We know that remote interviews might be something you’ve never done before, so we’ve put together a video for you to find out how we recruit remotely, from those that have just done it!
