Stockton-on-Tees home improvement agency
We help older or vulnerable people live at home independently and with dignity, by repairing and adapting their homes and offering advice and support.
Our qualified and accredited handy people can fit grab rails, and ramps and other adaptations which will help prevent trips and falls around the home
No job is too small for the team – they can help with things such as assembling flat pack furniture, hanging pictures, securing loose carpet and putting up curtain rails.
We offer two hours of free labour per year to anyone over 60, people with disabilities and those who are classed as vulnerable. You just need to pay for the materials.
If you need larger pieces of work doing – for example a level access shower fitting – we can project manage the work and find reputable contractors. This service is paid for by customers – however if you cannot afford the work we can support you to find funding and apply for grants to cover the cost.
Our advice and support service helps you continue to live at home comfortably and independently by providing support with home safety, home improvement grants and much more.
Our locally based handypeople can position and fix pieces of equipment correctly in your home.
We fit aids and adaptations so you can return home from hospital within 48 hours.
Needs, advice and support
Our needs, advice and support officer can visit your home to provide you with one-to-one support.
We can manage larger projects through our paid-for HandyTec service.
