Business enterprise coach, Sheila McFee (pictured on the left above) picked up the Enterprise Support Champion top spot at the IOEE Celebrating Enterprise Awards 2018 this week. The awards, hosted by Andrew Griffiths MP, took place at the Houses of Parliament in London.

Sheila was shortlisted alongside two other nominations, Adrian Ashton a freelance enterprise consultant and Shenaaz Chenia from Saint-Gobain, respectively but it was Sheila’s mix of knowledge, experience and heart-felt passion for her work which saw her named Enterprise Support Champion for 2018.

Sheila said: “I was very nervous about today, I must admit, but I’m absolutely thrilled to be honoured in this way. I really do love what I do, I get such a buzz from helping people start their businesses – I’m just very proud to have my work recognised.”

Employment and enterprise team leader, Nikki Flett, who nominated Sheila, said: “A well-deserved award. Sheila is a credit to the community investment team and Yorkshire Housing. Her positive outlook and caring nature means that she has been able to support many of our customers to turn their dreams of starting their own business into a reality.”

Other notable winners on the day were EasyJet founder Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou who took home the Lifetime Achievement Award and David Morgan from Novus, who won Member of the Year.
