Yorkshire Housing’s Home Improvement Agency (HIA) based in Skipton, is supporting people to stay warm this winter.

The winter warmth campaign supplies packs to help people stay warm and well this winter. It also offers support and advice on energy efficiency measures and how to keep fuel bills down.

The winter warmth pack contain a range of winter essentials, including a hat and scarf, gloves, torches, fleece blanket and a flask. Each pack is hand delivered to provide additional useful advice and information.

Skipton resident Gerry Carroll received one of the packs and said: “I saw it advertised on Yorkshire Housing’s HIA Craven Facebook page and thought it was a good idea. I’m impressed with what is included and it’s all useful for keeping warm this time of year. Thank you Yorkshire Housing for a great initiative.”

Yorkshire Housing’s Craven HIA Emma Rushworth said: “We’re doing our bit to help people to stay warm, well and independent over the winter. We can provide much needed support and advice to local vulnerable people as well as offering our winter warmth packs. There’s been a huge take-up and we’ve now run out of the packs, but we can still provide support and advice on staying warm this winter.”
