We have taken a number of decisions that put the safety of our customers and colleagues first. Like most social housing providers, we have scaled back some services in line with the government’s social distancing guidance. These will be reviewed as restrictions are lifted.
Yorkshire Housing has also launched our Customer Assistance Scheme. This is targeted additional support for our most vulnerable customers. The Scheme offers a befriending service as well as help in accessing essential provisions and medication. So far over 700 customers have been helped by this service.
Our Income Team and Money Coaches are working with customers who have lost their jobs or are struggling with reduced incomes as a result of the pandemic. Our clear message to all our customers at this time is that no-one will lose their home as a result of COVID-19.
