Say hello to Joe and Sian – the new voices of Yorkshire Housing. They’ll be the first people you hear when you call us, pointing you in the right direction in a way that’s friendlier, more human, and more… well, Yorkshire!
We’re swapping out the robotic, automated voice (you know the one) for something that feels like you’re chatting to someone who actually gets it. So next time you ring us, don’t be surprised if it feels a bit more familiar.
And because we thought you might want to get to know them, we asked Sian and Joe a few quick-fire questions…
Sian – Place Manager
1. What’s the most Yorkshire thing about you?
My accent. Phrases like ‘Ow much?!, Be reyt, or Nah then just roll off the tongue when you’re from Barnsley!
2. Go-to karaoke song?
Shania Twain – Man! I Feel Like a Woman.
3. One thing you never say no to?
A shopping trip… and cake!
Joe – Customer Engagement Advisor
1. Dream holiday destination?
The West Indies – I’d love to watch England play cricket there.
2. One meal for the rest of your life?
A proper roast dinner with all the trimmings (extra Yorkshire puds, obviously).
3. Favourite place in Yorkshire (and why)?
Filey. Great golf course, and if there’s time after, it’s brilliant for a family day out.
