Supporting Pride in our communities
We’re proud to support Pride events across Yorkshire and this year, we’re sponsoring Skipton Pride!
On Saturday 3 August 2025, some of our team will be there with a stall to chat with customers and Pride-goers about how social landlords can better support LGBTQIA+ communities. If you’re heading down, come and say hello, we’d love to see you there.
Listening to LGBTQIA+ customers
Earlier this year, we launched a dedicated customer group for LGBTQIA+ customers - a safe, welcoming space to share feedback, experiences and ideas.
This group plays a key role in helping us shape services that are more inclusive and responsive to the needs of everyone in our communities. It’s part of our ongoing work to make sure that every customer feels safe, respected and heard.
We’ve also applied for HouseProud accreditation - a national scheme that supports housing providers to improve equality and inclusion for LGBTQIA+ customers and colleagues. This is another step in building a better, fairer service for everyone.
What we’re doing internally
We’ve joined forces with nine other housing associations to mark Pride Month by offering learning resources and events to our teams.
For colleagues, we’re running sessions that focus on allyship, identity and lived experience - encouraging honest conversations and helping build a more inclusive workplace culture.
Introducing “Reyt Proud” - our LGBTQIA+ colleague network
Reyt Proud is our internal network for LGBTQIA+ colleagues and allies. It’s a space to connect, share experiences and help shape a more inclusive workplace.
It’s one of six colleague networks we’ve set up to support people from different communities, helping everyone feel seen, supported and able to be themselves at work.
