Homes in the pipeline

years till we're net zero
We don’t just have homes to rent at Yorkshire Housing, we build them too. We’ve got our own development team, our own unique house types and a focused development programme that plan to build 8,000 homes. We’ve already built over 3,621 of them and have another 1,100 in the pipeline.
We build homes for rent, low-cost ownership and market sale. Our smart homes are more energy efficient and sustainable, and more affordable to live in. Our new homes are sold under the Space Homes brand, and we reinvest the profits into building more social and affordable homes across Yorkshire.

Sustainability
Sustainability is at the heart of how we build. Our house types include family homes, flats and bungalows. Our new housetypes have been designed to meet Nationally Described Space Standards (NDSS), which goes above and beyond policy requirements because we don’t just want to meet expectations, we want to beat them.
We help the community be more sustainable too, choosing sites that have good public transport links and are close to established communities so new homeowners have everything they need nearby. Our builds will be more energy efficient by using a fabric first approach and we'll be pushing ahead with our zero gas approach too. All of this means that we can meet the net zero requirement by 2050.
Did you know? We’re one of 23 strategic partners appointed by Homes England until March 2026, and we’ve secured grant funding from the Affordable Homes Programme and continue to bid for continues market engagement funding to help us deliver mixed tenure schemes in Yorkshire.
