Our CEO and host Nick Atkin is joined by Jenny Hill, Founder and Director of Ingo Interiors, and Beckie Hart, Regional Director for Yorkshire and the Humber at The Confederation of British Industry (CBI).
“People are now coming to the workplace who’ve never ever worked in an office before.” The pandemic brought with it a shift in the way people work. Nick talks about the new generation that sees office-based working as an alien concept.
Jenny gives her views on flexible working and the need for a change in mindset: “The biggest thing is getting out of our psyche that the workplace is somewhere where you’re told where to sit and what to do.”
“The no.1 question that recruiters are getting asked is what are the flexible working arrangements?” Beckie tells us what many job seekers are looking for in a new employer.

All of these spaces were created using a hybrid workspace model for companies embracing a more agile approach to the working week.

She’s also the Co-Chair of the CBI National Manufacturing Council, a Commissioner for the Yorkshire and Humber Climate Commission and writes a weekly column for the Yorkshire Post. Her volunteering experience includes being a cook and server at the Silent Community Kitchen and a Vaccinator at St John’s Ambulance.
