We’re excited to share that we’re involved in the Northern Housing Consortium’s (NHC) Social Housing Tenants’ Climate Jury. Over the coming months we’ll be working alongside the NHC, four other Housing Associations and customers to better understand how we can work together to tackle climate change in our homes and neighbourhoods.
One of the big things the jury will look at is making our homes more energy-efficient. Customers will get the opportunity to have their say on how we make this happen.
And, the best part about it is we’re getting you, our customers, in on the action. The jury will be selecting 30 customers from across the project partners including six from Yorkshire Housing.
We’ve randomly selected 1,500 of you to get a letter through your letterbox to give you the opportunity to join. If you take part in the jury, you’ll also get up to £250 in vouchers as a thank you for your time. So, keep an eye on your letterbox, there might be a letter on its way to you! Sign-ups close on 5th July.
Talking about the jury, Susan Godbold, our Customer Insight and Engagement Manager, said: “This is a really fantastic opportunity for our customers to get involved and have their say in this forward-thinking project that will have sector-wide influence.
Having just had the G7 summit, the subject of moving towards a greener future is fresh in all our minds. So, the opportunity to work on this with the Northern Housing Consortium and other Northern Housing Associations has come at the perfect time.
We’ve also recently formed a customer climate change steering group who are helping to shape our future green strategies; the group are really excited to see how this progresses and take onboard the recommendations that come out of the project”.
