We’ve been busy working with customers at Ridge Close in Huddersfield to improve the area and make it a better place to live. Earlier this year customers living at Ridge Close got in touch to let us know they weren’t happy with a few things. So, we sent a survey to get their feedback and find out what we could do to make Ridge Close a place they’re proud to call home.
We’re using the feedback from the survey to come up with a plan of action to improve things at Ridge Close. To kick things off, last month we held a day of action at the estate in line with the government’s Covid-19 guidelines.
Team members from across Yorkshire Housing went along to meet customers, chat about plans for improvements, and answer any questions. We also did a litter pick alongside customers. This was a really nice opportunity to get to know them and make sure the area was clean and tidy.
We were very lucky to pick what felt like the sunniest day of the year. Everyone enjoyed being out in the shared spaces and we got some really positive feedback from customers.
This is just the start for Ridge Close. Now we’re starting work on making the changes our customers want to see happen.
Here’s what our Tenancy Management Officer Kieran had to say about the day:
“It was great to see customers enjoying Ridge Close’s wonderful outdoor space when we visited on our open day. I am optimistic that this can be a starting point to making some real changes if we all pull together”.
