Yorkshire Housing Foundation

Yorkshire Housing Foundation is a registered charity whose purpose is to make a positive difference to the quality of life for old, disabled, vulnerable or ill people in their own homes.

We consist of six home improvement agencies (HIAs) – also known as Stay Put Schemes. They cover:

Home Improvement Agencies provide independent housing advice and support to assist vulnerable people to repair, improve or adapt their homes to help them live independently and with dignity.

We seek to improve people's living conditions to enhance their health and quality of life, enabling them to remain in their own homes as long as they wish, or to return to their home following discharge from hospital or institutional care.
In partnership with local housing, health and voluntary sector agencies we help older homeowners, disabled people, people on low incomes and many others whose homes are lowering their quality of life.

We have also carried out other voluntary projects supporting area regeneration and community building.

Our independent board of trustees, and local area advisory groups of funders and partners, meet quarterly to monitor services and formally report annually on performance.
