Saving Energy and Helping the Environment
Community Action for the Environment
Over the coming months Yorkshire Housing will be developing their first energy efficiency initiative. We will be providing training to tenant representatives so that they can go into the homes of tenants who wish to make use of this service and offer tips to save energy. This is designed to aid us all in becoming more environmentally friendly and will help people save money on their fuel bills.
If you are interested in becoming a tenant representative please contact Kate Baker on 01653 604224. We are aiming to deliver the training in October.
If you have any other ideas for community based environmental projects then please contact us and we will do what we can to help you get your idea off the ground.
There is also lots of useful information for groups and individuals available from Community Action for Energy (CAfE) and the Energy Saving Trust including news, infomation and funding opportunities.
