Tips for using myhome
The rent account (or tenancy) number that you use to register for myhome should be six digits long.
Sometimes Yorkshire Housing may add two digits to the beginning or end of your rent account number, but you should ignore these when you are registering (or logging in) for myhome. For example:
If your Account Number looks like this:
0012345607
Remove the first two digits (usually 00) and the last two digits (usually 0-something):
0012345607
To leave you with six digits:
123456
Your street name should be entered without st., road or avenue etc.
The myhome registration system will only accept the unique part of your road name to confirm your address. This means that you should not include any of the following words or phrases in the address field: Street, St., Road, Rd., Avenue, Ave., Close, Cl., Way
If you recieve a "Data Error" after following the first 2 tips...
Please contact your Neighbourhood Officer to confirm that the data we currently hold in our systems is correct.
If your information needs updating, you will be asked to wait 24 hours (to allow our internal systems to synchronise) before you try to register again.
If you have completed all the above steps and are still unable to complete your registration, please ask your Neighbourhood Officer to put you in touch with our Web Designer, who will be able to register you an account over the phone.
