Tenant Involvement

As a housing association we aim to provide comfortable, well-maintained homes for our customers. But developing a community takes much more than bricks and mortar.

We involve our customers and tenants in the decisions which affect their homes, and we want to work with them to improve the environment and communities in which they live.

In so doing customers and tenants meet other people, take part in social activities, put forward their views and impact on the work of the association.

A little time can give a strong and effective voice for tenants’ concerns and suggestions and build stronger, happier communities.

What does it involve?
You choose. It can be anything from filling in a quick questionnaire to sitting on the board of management, helping run tenants’ and residents' associations (TARAs) and community events.

Talkback Panels

The Talkback Panel consists of over 350 customers who volunteer to complete 3 surveys per year: either by telephone, email or posting a questionnaire out. These are mainly people who are not otherwise involved through their local tenants and residents’ association.  The views of the Talkback Panel are fed back to management to discuss and is used to shape the future of Yorkshire Housing.
