Shareholding
Yorkshire Housing, Yorkshire Metropolitan Housing, Ryedale Housing Association, Brunel Housing and Craven Housing all provide the opportunity for interested people to become shareholders.
Applications to become a shareholder are approved on the basis of a number of factors including:
- interest and support for the Group
- appropriate skills and knowledge for future board membership
- knowledge of local communities and customers
- contribution to achieving a diverse body of shareholders, reflecting the areas the Group serves
There are some restrictions to ensure the Group’s independence is not compromised.
As a shareholder you will:
- attend the annual general meeting (AGM) and any special general meetings
- receive a copy of the Group’s annual report and information on the accounts
- approve recommendations on Board Membership
- be eligable to apply for Board Membership
- receive regular information through tenants magazines
