Stay Put can offer support and advice for vulnerable people providing options to get your home repaired, improved or adapted. Our handyperson service carries out small repairs and minor adaptations including:
Support and Advice
Rotherham Stay Put can offer support and advice for vulnerable people about options for getting your home repaired, improved or adapted.
This can include advice on how you could get help to pay for the work using loans or grants. If we can’t help you our Advice Service will try to get you the services you need from another organization.
Rotherham Stay Put offer a number of services to help you keep your home in good repair:
Telephone advisory service
For advice on both general and specific problems and issues.
Energy efficiency
Advice on possible grant and discount schemes
Handyperson Service
The handyperson service can carry out small repairs and minor adaptations to your home which can include:
- Installing grab rails, hand rails and additional stair rails.
- Putting up curtain poles and shelves
- Home safety checks including installing locks and safety chains
- Securing loose carpets and falls prevention
Who is the service for?
The service is for all older and vulnerable people, such as people on low incomes or benefits of any age living in Rotherham.
How much does it cost?
We don’t charge for our advice service. The handyperson service only charges for the materials used, plus a small fee for the handypersons time for longer jobs.
