What apprentice roles do you have?
Yorkshire Housing offers a variety of apprenticeships in roles across the business each year. These include construction-based roles in our Building Services, Gas & Plumbing and Electrical teams and office based roles in Finance, ICT and Business Administration. How do I apply?
We are open for apprentice applications between 18 March and 29 April. Vacancies are advertised here, you will be required to complete an application form which you will find with application guidance on each job vacancy. Interviews will be between May and June for successful candidates to start in August.
What is it like being an apprentice?

What is the starting salary?
Salaries range depending on the role but all are at least £4 per hour in their first year which exceeds the national minimum wage. Salaries increase yearly during your apprenticeship, dependent on the apprenticeship you do.
What training do I get?
Alongside continual learning ‘on the job’ you will receive dedicated training through the colleges and training providers who deliver your qualification. We will also support your development at work through regular support and internal training programmes.
Where will I be working?
Yorkshire Housing has offices across the region. Our head office is based in central Leeds, but your base location would be dependent on each role. You can find this information detailed in each vacancy.
What happens after my apprenticeship?
Full time positions are offered on a business need basis and consideration of your performance during your apprenticeship. The future career success of our apprentices is very important to us. Our goal is to grow talent from within the business, and with 70% of our apprentices having secured full time positions, we think we’re doing pretty well!
