The Development Team, based in the Leeds office, provides new properties for Yorkshire Housing across Yorkshire.
In line with the 2009-2012 Corporate Plan the team will provide 800 new affordable homes by March 2012 in locations where Yorkshire Housing already has a strong presence.
We work with a wide range of partners, developers, communities, individuals and groups and we are committed to sustainable development principles, both in terms of creating stable communities and in promoting energy efficient homes which have a low environmental impact. We seek design quality and innovation in all our new properties and we have been proud winners of awards for design excellence.
On Completion
Most of the homes we develop are for affordable rent and are let by Yorkshire Housing when they are completed. We also produce homes for Shared Ownership, Discounted Sale and Sub-Market Rent. These are managed through our Space Property office in Leeds.
As a major affordable landlord and developer in Yorkshire we have had a key role in regeneration projects across the region. We are committed to working hand in hand with communities, local authorities and other partners to seek innovative and practical solutions to areas with problems of poor housing, crime and deprivation.
